Berea - Deputy Prime Minister, Mothejoa Metsing has given 50 pairs of school shoes to 50 disadvantaged pupils of Kueneng Primary School in the Berea district.
As part of the celebration to mark his 50th birthday, the Deputy Prime Minister said he found it worthwhile to thank God, for the goodies he has done for him and this he did through giving the needy school children.
The DPM reminiscence how his teachers had paid his examinations fee when he was in Form C after his father died.
Metsing also cited his being trusted to the position of DMP as reason enough for him to thank.
One of the shoe recipients Thandiwe Hlalele said she did not have enough words to thank the gesture of the DPM.
