Maseru - Alliance of Democrats youth leader Thuso Litjobo has appeared before court in a defamation case involving the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Motlatsi Mapola.

Litjobo, 34, of Koro-Koro allegedly made the defaming comments about the ACP Mapola over a radio programme in January in which he allegedly said Mapola 'seems to be active in politics' and thereby advising him to refrain saying Mapola would soon be bored when the government changes.

Litjobo has applied for bail which the court granted on condition that he paid a deposit of M500, attends remands, stands trial to finality and while not interfering with witnesses.
