MPs urged to unite for peace

Morija - Lesotho Evangelical Church in Southern Africa - LECSA Morija parish has held a special prayer service for 33 Members of Parliament - MPs including the Prime Minister, Dr Pakalitha Mosisili who are members of the.

The church said it noted with favour that a good number of MPs are LECSA congregants and decided to call for a gathering with all of them to pray for the spirit of oneness.

The service also sought to remind them of their political responsibilities.

Head of Synod Reverend Ts'eliso Simeon Masemene speaking at the function said as the church theyb have a mandate to spread the word of God, emphasizing that Christians should portray characteristics of love and patience working hard for peace and reconciliation.

Masemene said Lesotho's political leaders who are divided by different issues, should put all the grudges aside and put the nation first.

Masemene said they feel greatly honoured to note that LECSA congregants are leaders in different departments in the country including politics.

MP Molibeli Soulo speaking at the occasion showed appreciation for what the church has done, saying they give their vote of "thanks to Head of the Synod in particular".
