2 Basotho nabbed in SA over stolen cattle

MASERU - Two Basotho men who allegedly stole seven cattle in the Free State Province last month were released on a R1 000 bail each by the Odendaalsrus Magistrate’s Court yesterday.According to a press statement released by the Free State Provincial Commissioner’s office yesterday, the duo is expected back in court on November 30 to answer stock theft charges.

The statement shows that the accused aged 30 and 60 were on horseback when they allegedly stole the animals in Kroonstad and Kutlwanong, Odendalsrus on the morning of October 23. The duo were later arrested by members of the Stock Theft and Endangered Species before they were hauled in court.
