SA police trail Mosotho man for murder

MASERU – The South African Police Service (SAPS) in the Free State is hunting for a Lesotho national who allegedly shot dead a motorist in Welkom last month.
The suspect according to a statement released by the office of the Provincial Commissioner of the Free State SAPS yesterday allegedly gunned down the victim before seriously injuring the dead man’s companion.
The incident the statement shows occurred at the bus stop corner of Lindsay and Jorissen Streets in Rheederpark, Welkom. The injured man was rushed to a nearby hospital where he is reportedly recovering.
It is alleged that the suspect who is of medium build, dark in complexion and about 1.5 metres tall pretended to be a passenger waiting to board a bus together with the victims.
It is further alleged that the deceased who was driving a maroon hatchback stopped at the bus stop and started talking to a man who wanted to hitch a ride.
