Chief murdered in cold blood

MASERU – Police are investigating a case in which the area chief of Ha Ts’ilo in Matsieng was stabbed to death with sharp objects by two unknown men last Sunday.

Chief Khanyane Ts’ilo, 77, died instantly from severe loss of blood.

According to police spokesperson Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli, Chief Ts’ilo was allegedly killed at his home.

Mopeli said nobody has been arrested in connection with the murder, adding that it is still not clear why the chief was attacked.
