Maputsoe – Up to 60 people graduated from St. Mary Mazzarello Vocational Training Centre Maputsoe, Leribe this past Saturday.
The group is part of 180 beneficiaries who received skills training from a project implemented by the International Organization of Migration (IOM) funded by the Government of Japan and the United Kingdom-Aid.
The project is part of the Covid-19 response.
The 60 of the trainees also graduated from the College of Co-operative Entrepreneurship and Business Studies (CCEBS) in February and March 2021. Some of them have started small businesses in different districts.
IOM identified the vulnerable trainees, and their family members as well as extremely vulnerable youth with the assistance of the Ministry of Social Development, DICOSEC (District COVID 19 Secretariat) and the District Disaster Management Team (DDMT) in Mohale’s Hoek, Quthing, Qacha’s Nek and Mafeteng.
