Bantu, Matlama played a draw

MASERU– The Mafeteng base-outfit Bantu FC A ‘Mat’so Matebele’ yesterday continued with their unbeaten run in the Econet Premier League (EPL) when they played a draw of 1-1 with their arch rivals Matlama FC ‘Tse Putsoa’ at Setsoto Stadium.
The match got off to a lively start as both teams were having more desire to score a leading goal as both teams launched attacks in search of an early goals.
Bantu FC managed to broke the duck by their midfielder Lit’sepe Marabe withen 10th minutes from the beginning of the referee whistle time.
The game went to the half-time with Bantu FC still leading the game with 1-0.
The host came very close to score an equalising goal when Matlama FC midfielder Phafa T’sosane long range shot hit the cross bar in 25th minutes after the half time.
The spot kick was awarded to Matlama FC after Bantu midfielder T’soanelo Koetle handled the ball inside the penalty arch.
Jane Thabant’so scored the resulting penalty kick for Matlama in 80th minutes to the referee whistle time to make it 1-1.
Bantu FC draw yesterday with their arch rivals Matlama FC will earns Bantu 19 points in seven matches, and this means that it will still be in the pole of the EPL log standing, while EPL defending champions Matlama FC will be in the 2nd position with 14 points with same margin of games played.
