Maseru – Ts’eliso Sekhoach (54) from Kolonyama appeared before the Magistrate Court on 15 August charged with car theft.
He was granted M500 bail and will reappear before the Magistrates’ court in Leribe on 29 August.
He is alleged to have hijacked a Toyota Quantum from its rightful owner back in May at Kagisong in South Africa and a tracker traced the car to Sekhoach.
Meanwhile, 26-year-old Ralikano Sello from Ha Ratanyane who allegedly killed a 32-year-old man appeared before the magistrate court in Leribe and is currently awaiting his next hearing on the 27 August in police custody.
Police say Sello shot and killed the deceased on the spot after the two men had an argument over the sharing of animals believed to have been stolen by the two.
