Mokhotlong man fatally assaults his wife

MOKHOTLONG – Police arrested a 33-year-old man from Makhoaba over the murder of his 32-year-old wife.
Police spokesperson senior superintendent Mpeti Mopeli said the incident took place on the night of April 13, 2021 when the suspect allegedly assaulted the deceased with a metal rod after she asked him about a woman who had visited him earlier that day.
The suspect will appear before the courts later this week.
Mopeli strongly condemned domestic and gender based violence, urging Basotho to avoid solving their problems through violence.
