Stock theft escalates

Maseru – Cases of stock theft continue to be reported around the country.
LMPS public relations officer, Senior Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli told the media this week that a total of 49 cattle, six donkeys, 45 sheep and eight goats were stolen. At the same time police recovered 17 cattle, a horse, two sheep and seven goats that had been stolen.
Meanwhile, two men, Bahlakoana Hajane (25) from Lithabaneng and Karabo Ntsielo (31) from Mafikaneng were arrested on December 10, 2021 and appeared in court where they were accused of stealing meat and cooking worth M13 740.00 from Queen Mamohato Memorial Hospital.
They were granted M300.00 bail each which they both managed to pay.
They will appear again in the court on December 16, 2021.
