The El Patel, a one man show

QACHA’S NEK – A Qacha’s Nek born DJ and photographer is proving himself a hit in the local entertainment sector, he literally lights up dance floors.

Lerotholi Phatela, aka ‘El Patel’ will tear Maseru apart in his One Man Show that will be held at the Backyad@Lynors on Sunday May 2.

‘El Patel’ will be playing different sets in different genres for 8 hours of that day. The show will be making its baby steps into the local joviality landscape – a first of its kind to be put together by the DJ himself.

The show will also feature performances by local acts such as Snizz, Lemeke oa Mochini, Nthabiseng Tereo and Lu Srenk.

“This show is a trial, launch and introduction of many to come, the idea is to make it a seasonal event that will be held in different venues across the Mountain Kingdom,” El Patel explained.

In his musical journey, Lerotholi has been a part of several music projects that have thrown revellers wild on the dance floor. On July 4, 2020, his birth date, he gathered crowds for a listening session of his experimental project, Elevate.

The project was released for streaming on digital stores like Audio Mark the same year on August 18, the same year.

Talking to Life&Style this week Lerotholi explained that: “I have been releasing music throughout my entire career and I have dropped five mixes this year alone. Last year I released a six -track experimental project, and as we speak I am currently working on my mix-tape, for which I have already recorded four songs.”

The show will kick-start at 11 in the morning and rock until sunset.
