BEREA – Lioli FC on Sunday elected a new Board of Directors to direct the fortunes of the troubled premier league side, following months of infighting that threatened to split the club’s faithful supporters.
The new leadership is led by Lebohang Thotanyana, who returns to the helm of the side elected in an Annual General Meeting that was held at patron and Principal Chief of Ha ‘Mamathe, Sempe Gabasheane Masupha’s residence – in what has become the most attended annual meeting of the team in recent times.
The new leadership mandated to bring back Lioli’s glory days for the next three years is also made up of:
1st Vice President: Advocate Hopolang Nathane KC, 2nd Vice President: Mthwalo Mthwalo, Members: David Ramphalile, Chaka Chaka, Sello Monamoli, Lebohang Selalome
Lioli ended the 2019/20 season sitting on fifth position on the 14-team Econet Premier League log table. The club’s coach, Morena Ramoreboli and assistant Molefi Loape – both South African citizens, have their contract expired with Lioli.
