WORLD VISION DONATES 1 080 000 MASKS

MASERU – World Vision Lesotho today donated 1 080 000 surgical face masks to the Ministry of Health as part of continuing efforts to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

The masks will be distributed to all the districts to assist health workers and communities.

Handing over the donation, World Vision National Director James Chifwelu said they are demonstrating their commitment by donating these masks and they are willing to collaborate more with the Ministry of Health.

“This is not the first time World Vision is extending a hand in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and it will continue expressing commitment in working with the Ministry of Health,” said Chifwelu.

On behalf of the Ministry of Health, Principal Secretary (PS) Khothatso Ts’ooana said World Vision has done a lot in helping this country and supporting the ministry play its role in fighting Covid-19.

“We are very honoured to receive this gift, and I appeal to all health workers to make good use of these masks in order to do their work properly,” said Ts’ooana.

He also said World Vision has set a good example for others and wishes that everyone would be very supportive and offer a hand in fighting Covid-19.

Director General of Health Services Dr. Nyane Letsie acknowledged World Vision for offering a helping hand in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic and said they will ensure that the masks are distributed in all the districts to anyone who needs them.
