Cops recover dangerous weapons

Maseru – Police recovered illegal dangerous weapons from different places of recreation this past weekend, including a 9mm pistol with two bullets and two 7.65 models without bullets in addition to five knifes and one stick (Molamu).

Four men were arrested, two of whom have already appeared in the magistrate court while the other two are expected to appear soon.

Presenting a report to the media yesterday, Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli pleaded with Basotho to stop going to clubs or parties with dangerous weapons.

“We should ensure that we drink responsibly,” he added. This particular operation has been going on long enough with police going out in different places to ensure Basotho’s safety.
