Returning Taiwanese from Lesotho tests COVID-19 positive

Maseru – Taiwan has reported a case of COVID-19 from that country’s citizen who had been to Lesotho. This emerged yesterday as Taiwan’s Central Command Centre (CECC) announced four new confirmed imported cases of COVID19.

CECC reported that case #459 is that of a female who is over 20 years old female who travelled to Lesotho for work in December 2019 and on her return on 25 July 2020, she voluntarily reported her persistent symptoms to quarantine officers at the airport. She tested positive for COVID19 after laboratory tests confirmed the case on July 27. Her case and three others brings cases of imported COVID-19 cases in Taiwan to 19.
