Covid-19: Magistrate’s court closed

MASERU – Maseru Magistrate Court has announced the closure of the court due to a confirmed case of Covid-19 among its staff.
Information officer ‘Mampota Phakoe made the announcement on Tuesday this week and said the court will close doors with immediate effect to allow fumigation.
Apart from the confirmed case, there are also two suspected cases. The courts will re-open again on January 18 and suspects who were due for remand will report on the same dates in February.
In the meantime the court will only deal with urgent cases as there will be few magistrates on duty.
