Nacosec to meet guardians of students attending SA schools
MAMELLO SEBATANE
Maseru – Despite South Africa re-opening its schools and entry ports yesterday, it has proved to be a struggle for local students commuting to school daily to cross the border.
In response, NACOSEC risk communications manager, Baroane Phenethi, speaking on a local radio station today said the country is still in the Orange stage therefore the conditions at this stage still stand.
He said the public is still at high risk of contracting the virus therefore opening the borders to everyone would cause more problems.
However, he indicated that a meeting will be held tomorrow with all stakeholders, including representatives of parents and guardians of Basotho students travelling to South Africa every day for school, to discuss a way forward.
