Counterfeit M26 200 lands man in jail

MASERU – Thirty-year-old Thabo Masoleng of Ha Tsolo was arrested last week for possession of counterfeit money worth R26 200.
Police spokesperson Sub Inspector ’Mareabetsoe Mofoka said the offender was arrested on April 29, 2021 and appeared before the courts yesterday where he was sentenced to two years in prison or alternatively pay M2 000 fine.
Half of the offender’s sentence was suspended and he was ordered to pay a fine of M1 000 within three months.
