Police probe murder of 6-year-old girl

MASERU – Police are investigating the murder of a six-year-old girl from Ha Ts`iu that took place on the night of May 13, 2021.
According to the police, the toddler was last seen on May 13 at around 4pm while playing with other children by her 45-year-old grandmother who is also her caretaker as she left home to a local bar.
On her arrival back home, the child was not home so the grandmother assumed she had gone to sleep over at her uncle’s house nearby.
However, the following day, May 14, 2021 the lifeless body of the girl was found by the villagers. It is suspected she was sexually assaulted and strangled to death.
