Misa urges politicians to protect journalists

MASERU – MISA Lesotho has sent letters to political party leaders, reminding them of their responsibility to protect journalists and ensure they do their job freely during the upcoming elections which are to take place in 2022. 

This was revealed at a press conference that was held at the MISA Lesotho premises this morning.

Among others, political leaders are to make sure that they conduct press conferences and political rallies separately as a safety measure for journalists. IEC as another major stakeholder in the elections is also expected to stick to its mandate.
