Maseru – Mines minister Serialong Qoo today conducted a site inspection for a geological laboratory that is going to be built at the industrial area in the capital.
Qoo said the ministry of mining has been generating income for the government even during the Covid-19.
“With this laboratory, the country is going to save money since soil tests will now be done in our country with our own specialists rather than being always being done outside, which means the economy will also improve due to this,” he said.
The director of Geo-Science Ngakane Ngakane said they have decided to build Lesotho’s own geological laboratory to be able to make their own researches and tests of the country’s stones, soil and water and not depend on specialists outside the country.
The plans for the building are already in place.
