We back Lipholo on land reclamation: SR

BOKANG MOSHOESHOE

MASERU – The Socialist Revolutionaries (SR) party have announced their unequivocally support of Dr Tšepo Lipholo’s bid to reclaim Lesotho lost territories at a press conference yesterday.

While the SR leader, Advocate Teboho Mojapela, spoke on a range of issues including widespread corruption in government, and the controversial appointment of the Directorate on economic Offenses (DCEO), he minced no words in stating that the SR stands with Dr Lipholo.

Advocate Mojapela said it is every Mosotho’s absolute opportunity to support the motion to reclaim land with less regard for political differences or preferences.

Dr Lipholo displayed bravery to have taken the steps he took, Mojapela said adding “a leader shows by his/her good deeds” despite everything that is being said.

“I want to say this to Prime Minister (Ntsokoane) Matekane, this issue must be taken into serious consideration . . . it is a serious matter and only you can lead the way to see through this issue,” the advocate advised.

The prospect of the land covering Free State and other parts of South Africa becoming Lesotho, it would seem, is a potential electioneering tool for the 2027 general elections with politicians across the divide positioning themselves for favour.
