MANTŠONYANE – The Clan Lodge has unveiled two new sponsored playing kits for Rangers FC during an event held last Sunday at Bocheletsane Stadium in Mantšonyane, Thaba-Tseka.

The playing kits include a range of essential equipment such as soccer boots, socks and balls.

According to Thabiso Mpeoa, the owner of The Clan, the company invested M60 000 in the playing kits and additional equipment – the sponsorship encompasses logistics.

Mpeoa, a former Rangers player who also hails from Mantšonyane, the home of Rangers FC, said he decided to assist the club after realising they could not afford some of the essential resources needed for the team.

“Therefore, I have concluded that The Clan should reconnect with the club by providing them with playing kits and balls,” said Mpeoa in an interview with Public Eye in Matšonyane last Sunday.

“This decision stems from my appreciation of their dedication and hard work; however, it became evident that they require additional support to reach their full potential.”

Rangers’ president, Tebalo Masumuthe, expressed gratitude for The Clan’s support.

“We sincerely thank The Clan Lodge for their support,” said Masumuthe.

“The owner of the lodge said they are going to provide us with all the playing equipment.”

Masumuthe further said: “We faced challenge without support, but now we are fortunate that The Clan has chosen to support us.”

Therefore, the Rangers boss encouraged the team’s fans to rally behind The Clan, emphasizing that their success hinges on the unwavering support of the fanbase.

Rangers’ captain, Tšeliso Matekane, also expressed his gratitude to the Clan, saying their support would make a meaningful difference to the team.

“We, as players, are very proud, and this will make a significant difference since we previously had only one playing kit,” said Matekane.

He further said: “This will serve as motivation, and we thank the Clan for their support.”

Speaking on behalf of The Clan Lodge, ‘Mulane Pofane, expressed that the company was motivated to extend its support to Rangers in response to a heartfelt plea from the Prime Minister Ntsokoane Matekane, who is also from Mantšonyane.

According to Pofane, Matekane urged businesses to reinvest in their communities.

Rangers compete in the country’s second-tier league, the A-Division, within the North Stream.

They are the only team competing in the A-Division from Thaba-Tseka, and this is their first season after earning promotion from the B-Division last year.
