The African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5 is this month recognizing women in sports throughout this month, in a list of regional female sports stars they have celebrated Michelle Tau, Lesotho’s taekwondo trailblazer.

AUSC has launched this initiative as a step to continue to uplift and empower women breaking barriers in sports.

Michelle’s historic achievement as the first taekwondo athlete from Lesotho to qualify for the Olympics in 20 years has been noted by AUSC as a true testament to the fighter’s dedication, resilience, and excellence.
