Glitz, glamour and girl power at 13th Finite Women’s Awards
Celebrating excellence: Finite Magazine applauds 50 pioneering women

MASERU – The ‘Manthabiseng Convention Centre was alight with glitz and glamour last Saturday as Finite Magazine hosted its 13th Annual Women Appreciation Awards, a prestigious event celebrating the dedication, resilience, and hard work of Lesotho’s female leaders and pioneers.
Graced by the Ministers of Gender and of Health – Pitso Lesaoana and Selibe Mochoboroane – the ceremony honoured 50 exceptional finalists across ten industries, each recognised for their outstanding contributions.
A standout winner was 21-year-old Libuseng Mokhoang, founder of Botanica Range, who took top honours in the Manufacturing (Consumables) category for her skincare line made from tomato extracts.
“I am truly grateful and thankful for the support that I got,” a jubilant Mokhoang said.
The awards were organised by the BAM Group Foundation. Its president, ‘Mamashiya Ntšepeng Tšita Tikiso, praised the nominees and explained the event’s mission.
“We brought you together because we want to work hard on women empowerment; we want to see every woman progress,” Tikiso stated.
“We want to see every woman envision herself as strong, empowered, and know that they have the possibility to reach their goals.”
Tikiso emphasised that every nominee was already a winner. “The fact that you have been nominated says a lot about your competence. Somebody showed up for you by nominating you,” she said, encouraging those not nominated to “work hard in your sphere because we would like to recognise you.”
Minister Mochoboroane presented certificates to all 50 finalists. Each received a trophy and a hamper as a token of appreciation for making it to the top five in their respective categories.
In his closing remarks, Minister Lesaoana, applauded the fearless and courageous spirit of the women honoured.
“Ladies, for all the great things you have done, you have proven beyond doubt that you are not inferior but equals, especially when it comes to business,” Lesaoana said.
The event was also attended by the Ombudsman, Advocate Tlotliso Polaki, several Members of Parliament and other senior government officials.
