LCS unveil new kit

MASERU – Both LCS FC and insurance giants, Alliance Insurance on Wednesday unveiled the club’s new playing outfit worth over M120 000.

The kit which comprises both home and away fixtures also includes tracksuits as well as players’ attire.

Alliance Insurance are LCS’ official technical sponsors and the company’s marketing officer Makhozi Foko, said they have been in partnership with the team for over 15 years now.

“Our partnership with LCS is timeless, as long as the institution exists,” said Foko.

According to the club’s president Thabang Mothepu, the new playing kit came at the right time when their team is in the race for the league.

Mothepu who is also the commissioner of LCS said it is therefore going to serve as a motivation to their players in their endeavor to winning the coveted trophy at the end of the season.

LCS are currently lying on second position on the 14-team Econet Premier League (EPL) log table after collecting 41 points from 19 matches. They are trailing log-leaders Matlama with three points.

“As Masheshena FC we are grateful for the new kit, which came at the right time when we are in the race for the league title,” Mothepu said.

“It is going to serve as a motivation to our players now that our dream is to win the league title and represent the country in the CAF Champions League.”

LCS are the former league champions who lifted the cup a record six times.

The last time Masheshena clinched the league title was in 2012/13 season, at the time winning the cup back-to-back after they were crowned the champions in the 2011/12 season.

“LCS are a big team in Lesotho who have kept the record,” said Mothepu.

Alliance Insurance are also the technical sponsors of two other super clubs, Matlama and Lioli.
