MASERU – A Mokhotlong man who allegedly assaulted his disabled younger brother with a belt before thumping him to death with an iron rod is expected to appear before the Mokhotlong Magistrate’s Court on April 2.
Limpho Kao, 20, of Ntlholohetsane is alleged to have last week Monday fatally assaulted his 16-year-old brother after the youth asked for his assistance to go to the bathroom.
It is alleged that earlier that day, the suspect’s father had taken his animals to the veld, leaving his deceased son with the suspect.
Minutes later when he returned, he found his disabled son lying dead in a pool of blood.
According to police spokesperson Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli, the suspect was arrested on last week Tuesday for the murder.
