High Court confirms two judges

MASERU- Two acting judges were today confirmed as High Court judges at the Royal Palace.
Justices Moroke Mokhesi and Keketso Moahloli were confirmed by Justice Thamsanqa Nomngcongo.
Addressing the two judges, Justice Nomngcongo said: “You have been there for some time now, you know what awaits you.”
Justice Mokhesi started as a Second Class Magistrate in Mafeteng in 2004 until he was promoted to the First Class rank in 2012 and was transferred to Maseru in 2016.
He was appointed acting judge of the High Court for the month of January in 2014. He thereafter returned to the magistracy before he was recalled to the High Court as an acting judge in January 2018.
Justice Moahloli started as a crown counsel at the law office in Maseru.
He then served as the first legal advisor of the department of labor before his appointment as the executive director of the then Union of Employers in Lesotho (UEL).
He served as a law lecturer at the University of North QwaQwa for ten years, before he was appointed pioneer commissioner of the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration of South Africa at the end of 1966 and subsequently promoted to the position of Senior Commissioner.
He was appointed acting High Court judge in July 2014.
