Likuena ready for COSAFA tourney

NTHETHE MAPHAONG
MASERU – Likuena have pronounced their readiness for the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) tournament scheduled for Durban in South Africa.
The team left Lesotho yesterday for the regional competition that kicks off on Saturday. The tournament ends on June 8.
The Lesotho Football Association (LEFA) has given head coach Moses Maliehe and his lieutenants a mandate to strive beyond the semi-finals in this year’s episode of the event.
Team assistant coach Mpitsa Marai told a press conference earlier this week that they had at least three weeks of preparation for their first match of the tournament against Uganda.
Marai said they have reviewed video clips of their past matches against Uganda in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers and were able to identify the mistakes that caused them the games.
Lesotho shall start the tournament from the quarter finals level, due to their outstanding performance in last year’s edition of the competition.
