Journalist dies in accident
MASERU – One journalist died and two others, one from Public Eye, were injured when a vehicle they were riding in overturned early this morning (Wednesday).
Reports indicate the vehicle overturned on a road between Mohale’s Hoek and Quthing about 150 kilometres south of Maseru.
A United Nations Development Programme (UN) official and a driver were also in the vehicles which overturned several times.
Public Eye could not immediately establish the severity of the injuries but understands that the four accident victims – two journalists, UN official and a driver – were rushed to the Quthing district hospital where they received urgent medical treatment and later discharged.
The police in Maseru were this afternoon still waiting for details from Mohale’s Hoek.
