MASERU – The country expects to create at least 30 000 jobs between 2022 and 2023 in the country.
This is according to Minister of Development Planning Tlohelang Aumane’s highlights on the National Strategic Development Plan.
He said about 77 projects would be implemented in four sectors which include, agriculture, manufacturing, tourism and technology and innovation.
Aumane said investors are about to invest about M20 billion.
He further indicated that the there will be a job and investment summit on August 21 where authorities will explain to the public the various projects that they are about to embark on.
The government held an initiative dubbed Lesotho Investment and Economic Laboratory earlier this year where the government, investors and the private sector came together to discuss projects and businesses to be set up in Lesotho.
About 399 business leaders took part in the dialogue but only 77 projects were said to be ready for resume.
