MASERU – Basotho National Party (BNP) leader, Chief Thesele Maseribane who is the communications minister and head of a cabinet sub-committee looking into striking teachers’ grievances has said the 4X4 government will address all the problems teachers are facing.
He was addressing his party supporters at Lifefo grounds in the Thetsane constituency in Maseru yesterday.
“I have spent days and nights working hard to ensure that teachers’ issues are attended to therefore I am proud to inform you that the process of reviewing teachers’ salary structure has been completed and that on August 21st a World Bank Consultant will be in the country to deal with this.
“I admit that we delayed to address but we as the 4×4 government, unlike other governments before, have taken a step in addressing teachers’ grievances which date as back as 1993,” he said.
He also called on his party’s feuding aspiring deputy leaders Dr Joang Molapo and Machesetsa Mofomobe to unite for the benefit of the party and supporters.
