Finance ministry speaks on last Friday’s fire

MASERU – The Ministry of Finance has urged Basotho to stay calm after a fire broke out in the third floor at a building housing their offices last Friday.

According to the statement the fire was caused by the burning of an Uninterruptible Power Source (UPS), however the situation was kept under control.

Other properties, including cash, were not affected by the fire and the ministry, together with the responsible parties are working hard to ensure the situation do not happen again, the statement reads.
