Man rapes minor daughter

MASERU – A 48-year-old man of Ha-Thetsane was arrested on September 30 for sexually allegedly abusing his 14-year-old daughter in her own home.

The police spokesperson Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli said this when addressing the media on Monday October 7.

According to Mopeli, this horrible act started when the girl was only 12 years old and was done continuously by her father as her mother had long gone to South Africa to look for a job when the girl was only seven years old. The man was then caught by village policing groups (Mahokela) who reported him to the police. Mopeli further explained that the man appeared before the magistrate court on October 3 and is still in custody where he is expected to re-appear in court on October 16.
