Mojapela vows to ensure ’Maesaiah faces justice

Maseru- Socialist Revolutionaries (SR) leader advocate Teboho Mojapela yesterday told a press conference that his party will work tirelessly to ensure murder accused First Lady ’Maesaiah Thabane faces justice.

’Maesaiah is one of several people police want to question in connection with the 2017 fatal shooting of Prime Minister Tom Thabane’s estranged wife Lipolelo Thabane at Ha ‘Masana on the outskirts of Maseru.

“We will flex our muscles against Liabiloe until she either commits suicide or flees to exile, but we can attain this through collaboration as Basotho”, Mojapela said.

“I remember the day I mediated between Liabiloe (‘Maesaiah) and Mrs Lipolelo Thabane at my home and Liabiloe promised me that they had buried the hatched. Thereafter, Lipolelo was killed but never once did I think Liabiloe could be a suspect. We suspected she was killed by the notorious plot of Team 20,” Mojapela revealed.

Team 20 was a covert group of soldiers notorious for extra judicial killings a few years back.
