Father and sons charged with cables theft

Maseru – A Ha Leqele pensioner and his two sons last week appeared in
Maseru charged with theft of electricity cables from the Lesotho Electricity Company (LEC).
The cables are valued at M315 792.
Paseka Tlokotsi, 68, who used to work for the LEC and his sons – Kubu Tlokotsi, 28, and his 35-year-old elder brother appeared in the Magistrate’s court on the 13th February.
Police sources yesterday said the trio connived with Kobeli Motete, 35, also a former LEC security guard to steal the cables.
The quartet was given R500 bail each.
They will appear in court again on 25 February.
The court heard that between 2010 and 2019 the four men broke into the LEC storeroom and stole red cables.
