Woman kills disabled daughter

MASERU – A 27-year-old woman from Thabaneng Leloaleng in Mafeteng was arrested on 12th February suspected of killing her five-year-old daughter.
Reports indicate that on the evening of Wednesday 12 February the woman used a cloth to strangle her disabled daughter to death. She said she was unable to cope with both providing for the child and baby sitting her single-handedly after the father left for South Africa to look for a job but never came back.
She said she had to quit her job to look after her daughter and the only solution was for her to kill her daughter.
It is not clear when she will appear in court.
