MASERU – Sky Alpha HD in collaboration with the Lesotho Flour Mills have donated food parcels to two local orphanages and an old age home in celebration of the radio station’s first anniversary. Sky Alpha HD is Lesotho’s digital, English medium radio station that broadcasts globally and founded by its executive director Tello Leballo.
St.Angela Home for the Disabled situated at Haseleso Maseru, God’s love Orphanage in Sekamaneng and Reitumetse Church Project that looks after senior citizens in Mazenod are the beneficiaries of this initiative. Founder and Executive Director of Sky Alpha HD, Tello Leballo, the station noted that they saw it fit to celebrate their first year anniversary by extending their hand to the less fortunate so they too can have something to eat during this hard times caused by COVID-19.
Sister Maria Crescentia Mosito from the St Angela Home for the Disabled expressed her gratitude to the radio station. She said the orphanage survives solely on donations as it has no financial support from any entity.
“We were surprised when we got the message about this donation because we are not even aware that there are people that notice our struggle and will to help. We are grateful to Sky Alpha HD and wish them all the blessings,” she said.
