Man assaults 9-month-old son

MASERU – Tello Kamola, 25, who lives in Nazareth appeared in the Magistrate Court on 4 January, 2021, accused of assaulting his 9-month old son. The court found him guilty and ordered him to pay M10,000 or spend five years behind bars.

Superintendent Mpeti Mopeli both parents were liable since the mother did not report that her husband had injured the baby. However, the toddler’s mother was released after the magistrate severely warned her.

Police Mopeli said the matter came to light after the hospital that the son was taken to reported to the matter to the police.
