Robbers in police uniform steal M51 000

MASERU – Mpho Seaka, 40, who lives in Ha Mabote is accused of involvement in an armed robbery in which a businessman lost M51 000. The suspect appeared in court on 14 January, 2021.

In a report Senior Inspector Mareabetsoe said Seaka was among a group of people were in police uniform when they carried out the robbery. She said the suspect is a member of Lesotho Mounted Police Services (LMPS) but he has been suspended pending investigations. Police said they are apprehending the suspects one after the other.

The suspect is in police custody waiting to appear before court.
