Nurses issue 3-day ultimatum to govt
MAMELLO SEBATANE
Maseru – The Lesotho Nurses Association has given Government of Lesotho a three-day ultimatum to resolve salary concerns of their members working at Queen ’Mamohato Memorial Hospital (QMMH).
President of the association, Raphael Tlali, said nurses working at QMMH have since 2012 endured unresolved salary grievances.
“We have approached both stakeholders; the QMMH management and the government several times over these issues, going back and forth, but there has not been a solution,” he said.
Tlali added that while giving the government a chance to intervene, the association is also looking for a permanent resolution to this long-running problem.
