Majoro shuffles cabinet

Maseru – The Office of the Prime Minister has issued a statement announcing a reshuffle of cabinet ministers and principal secretaries with immediate effect.

The unexpected move has seen Prime Minister Moeketsi Majoro shuffling around 11 of his ministries inclusive of the Ministry of Health.

According to the changes made, Keketso Rants’o and Prince Maliehe have been kicked out of cabinet.

In their place, Moshe Leoma has been appointed Minister of Labour and Employment and Lekhetho Mosito Minister of Defense and National Security.

Basotho National Party (BNP) leader Thesele ’Maseribane has swapped places with Keketso Sello in the Ministry of Small Business Development, Co-operatives and Marketing and Ministry of Communications, Science and Technology.

The Ministry of Public Service has been assigned Motlohi Maliehe who replaces Semano Sekhatle who takes the place of Motlatsi Maqelepo as the Minister of Health.

Maqelepo will serve as the Minister of Forestry and Land Reclamation, while Selemo Mangobe will become Deputy Minister of Local Government.
