Rains overwhelm roads and bridges

Maseru – As conditions of heavy rains and consequent flooding continue all over Lesotho, parts of the country’s infrastructure including roads and bridges are failing to cope, leaving Basotho stranded.

Members of Menkhoaneng community council in Leribe said it has become a challenge to travel between Pela-Tsoeu Kongkotia and Kota villages as the bridge has collapsed.

Meanwhile at Phamong in Mohale’s Hoek, the road from Ha Lethena to Shalane has been made partly impassable due heavy rains making it a struggle for community members travel back and forth.
