Suspected killer husband staged car accident

MASERU – Lebohang Moletsane, 37, who lives at Ts’enola, Maseru, appeared before the court on February 26, 2021 facing accusations of allegedly killing his 35-year-old wife.
He is in police custody waiting to appear before court on March 10, 2021.
According to police reports Moletsane is suspected to have fatally stabbed his wife with a knife on the night of February 20 in Mohale’s Hoek. Police added the suspect placed the dead body in a car and drove to Maseru and when he arrived at Ts’enola he staged a car accident in order to claim the wife had died as a result of it.
Police investigations revealed that the victim was stabbed with a very dangerous weapon.
The suspect is a member of Lesotho Mounted Police Services (LPMS) who works at Mohale’s Hoek police station.
