Boy (19) tries to rape granny (70)

MASERU – A 70-year-old granny, who lives at Ha-Mosuoe in Quthing reported to the police that a 19-year-old boy from the same village tried to rape her on March 11, 2021 at around midnight.

Senior Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli said the granny heard footsteps in the house next to where she was sleeping and immediately saw a man standing naked near her. She tried to make noise but the suspect threatened her. However, she managed to escape and went outside where she made noise and neighbours came and apprehended the boy.

The suspect will appear before court this week.
