M2 000 fine for illegal gun possession

MASERU – Tebatso Sebapo, 24, who lives at Mats’aneng, Maputsoe in Leribe appeared before the magistrate court on March 9, 2021 where he was found guilty of possessing an illegal gun and bullets.
Police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli said the suspect was fined M2000 or alternatively serve a two-year prison sentence if he failed to pay the fine. He was released after he managed to pay the fine.
