Thabane remains ABC’s 2022 polls candidate: party youths

Maseru – Former Prime Minister Motsoahae Thabane is the official candidate to lead the  All Basotho Convention (ABC) party in coming elections, the party’s youth league has said.

ABC youth league yesterday released a press statement dismissing social media reports claiming other party members besides Thabane will be representing the ruling party in the coming elections next year.

“As the youth committee, we urge the National Executive Council (NEC) to do something about these malicious rumours as they defame the party. As for all ABC followers, we plead with you not to be shaken by the current rumour as our focus is on the upcoming elections, which we aim to win,” the statement explained.

The youth league explained that the party remains unanimous that its current leader Thabane will be the face of the party in the 2022 elections.
