Teenager fatally stabbed friend with a knife

LERIBE – A 26-year-old man from Popopo, Leribe is in police custody over the killing of a 53-year-old man from the same area.
Police said the tragic incident took place on April 2, 2021 at the victim’s place where alcohol was being sold and the suspect and others were the victim’s customers.
The suspect allegedly forcefully demanded sex from the victim’s wife. While attempting to mediate to save his wife the victim was fatally assaulted.
Meanwhile, in ’Mate, Leribe a 16-year-old boy is accused of fatally stabbing his 15-year-old friend with a knife.
LMPS spokesperson Senior Supt. Mpeti Mopeli said that teenagers had been playing with knives, when one of them was fatally stabbed.
