Man in trouble for illicit possession of marijuana

Butha Buthe – Twenty-seven-year old Halekhetheloe Motsisi of Ha ’Mats’oana was arrested and has appeared before the court for illegal possession of 0.824 grams of marijuana.
Police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Mpeti Mopeli said the accused was found guilty and sentenced to two years’ imprisonment or M2 000 fine.
Motsitsi was released after paying the fine.
Meanwhile in Quthing, police said three men of aged 25, 29 and 35 are in police custody over illegal possession of four firearms and 16 bullets.
Mopeli said the arrests were made possible through the help of community members of Ha Sekhobe, Ha Mpapa and Ha Sekhebe.
